Many retail outlets offer a price-match guarantee. A US startup, nosaleisfinal.com, aims to make the process of checking price-match data as easy as can be.
nodealisfinal.com is a free-to-consumers website that offers consumers a chance to know that they paid the lowest price possible for the products and services they purchased.
But it is not a price-match site in the usual sense.
"Consumers will no longer have to wonder if they could have found a lower price somewhere else," said Tony Vervilos, the developer and founder of the site.
The plan is simple: anyone can take receipts from any of their purchases and enter that information into Nosaleisfinal.com. Only the receipt information is sent to businesses that offer the same products or services. Those businesses will have the chance to offer the buyers a lower price or a value-added service.
If there is an offer, then the consumer decides whether or not to accept it. If the consumer accepts, then it will be up to the consumer to contact that business, give that business their contact information, and get that better offer.
Because the contact is in the hands of the consumer, the businesses will never know who the consumer is. If there are no offers, then the consumers know they paid the lowest price.
Businesses that sign up with nosaleisfinal.com will receive the buyer receipt information. Those businesses will now have an opportunity to offer a consumer a lower price or a value-added service in order to make this sale.
The company says that the platform also provides its corporate customers with valuable market intelligence: they will be able to see how competitive they are with other businesses.
