IBM cutting 5,000 in US?
Rumours about in the world's press that IBM is to cut an additional 5,000 jobs in the USA as it offshores and outsources to Bangalore and other centres in India.

But the company is staying tight lipped.
In January it made extensive job reductions - but refused to quantify the numbers saying that there is a level below which no disclosure is required by labour laws, and those cuts fell below that limit.
So there remains the question: is IBM cutting more jobs and if so how many? And what will the total number be, and where will the axe fall?
