Writer of Songs: Harvey Andrews
You've probably never heard of Harvey Andrews. And if you look at Amazon.Com's UK music site, there aren't even any reviews of his "25 years on the Road" - which is rare given how so many people post reviews just to pretend they are writers.

And equally bizarre, the "context sensitive advertising" on that site comes up with"Specialist in Family Law and Divorce [web address removed] Specialist Solicitors an unbeatable £70 per hour & fixed fee options" and two even more irrelevant options.
Andrews seminal work "Writer of Songs" doesn't even rate inclusion in their lists.
These days Harvey doesn't get out much, or at least he doesn't get out of the Midlands much. A Black-Country singer/songwriter who deserved the success accorded the late (and admittedly great) Harry Chapin, Andrews suffers from the simple truth that, except for Ozzie Ozborne and Slade, no one from the British Midlands has ever managed to convince London - and even more so, New York - record companies that they were worth promoting.
Yet, for every tear Chapin generated, Writer of Songs squeezes out two.
Yet Andrews is also a viciously funny man: he is satirical, witty and sometimes downright insulting - usually of politicians and poor drivers. His live shows are incredibly enjoyable.
He's getting on a bit, now, so don't delay: get to see him while you can.
And buy his records. You can buy direct (we don't even earn the commission we usually earn on "click through" links proving that this page is really all about the music ) at www.harveyandrews.com
